Awarded Script Development Funding by the Turkish Ministry of Culture, the project was subsequently selected for the Film Talent Academy in Linz and showcased at the 2025 Marché du Film as part of the Lab, where it garnered significant industry interest.
Eighteen-year-old aspiring vegan chef Mira is trapped in a suffocating family legacy at her parents' lakeside grill, bordering the Liquidambar forests of Southwestern Turkey. When an elderly customer nearly chokes to death while consuming the restaurant's cherished “Lamb Tongue Special,” a rebellious Mira abandons her inheritance to seek independence at a high-end vegan kitchen in the secluded marshlands of Dalyan. But what begins as a bid for culinary freedom and a fresh start takes a terrifying turn as her hypocritical new boss introduces meat dishes to the menu to save his failing business. Mira’s deeply suppressed trauma and patriarchal pressures of the commercial kitchen begin to violently fracture her grip on the present, blurring the lines between reality, nightmare, and hallucinatory visions. Now the only way to Mira’s salvation is for her to become one with her true nature and the primal mystic of an ancient ecosystem.
